Tried to move my WoW folder from my HDD to my SSD, the launcher is completely unable to redetect the new location. Even when I launch wow through the 'World of Warcraft Launcher' which automatically opens battle.net and attempts to scan for the game I get this error message.

Escape From Tarkov Cant Install
Darti,
Start up the Battle.net game launcher. Click on the 'Locate' option to the right of the Blue Install button. Look through your system to find the folder that contains World of Warcraft and select that. Remember that you are selecting the folder that contains the game, don't go in to the folder and try to select the game itself.

I've done so and it still is throwing errors at me. I've also tried to put the folder within another folder as well as renaming the wow folder to something else, neither of which have yielded successful results.
I've also tried pressing the install button and setting the install path to where the folder currently is - after I select the folder and press 'install now' nothing happens, the dialogue box doesn't close or anything
Darti,
Try resetting the Battle.net launcher and it's cache files. To make sure the launcher is fully closed before doing this I'd recommend restarting the system and then following those steps.
Once done, start up the launcher shortcut and it will rebuild itself. Then try locating the game files again.

The issue still persists after following those steps.
I just tried after those steps to re-install to the location where the folder currently is. After about 10 minutes of sitting on 'initializing' the launcher now recognizes the game path. Thanks!
That's good to hear, Darti. Thanks for the update.

I had this same problem for months and tried everything. The only thing that worked for me was also what worked for Darti. I pointed the re-install to the exact location where my folder already was. It took the launcher a few minutes to recognize it but now it works.
I have to agree with them, if you run into this issue, just hit 'Install' for the game it self, and choose the new folder. My client Updated and did a few things for about 10 minutes, then it worked fine!
Thanks Darti,
Champion, I was putting up with this issue for months on my laptop, all fixed with your tips.

I used this solution but its been alot longer than 10 minutes : /
You may want to consider uninstall/reinstall then - too, make sure your hard drive is discoverable by Windows and you've got the Battle-net App installations pointed to it.
I had same issue and reinstalling to the same folder helps. One thing to note, you actually want to select the root of the disk you are installing to IF your WOW path is d:world of warcraft - then select D:
I found the solution -- it's easy!
I wanted to move the entire folder from C:World of Warcraft to -> E:World of Warcraft (Painbow)
I got the same message everyone else was getting until..
I enabled the option to show hidden files and 5 files appeared that did not copy to the new folder when I moved it (because they were hidden).
They're all in the same folder as Wow.exe, Wow-64.exe, BlizzardError.exe etc. Here they are:
.agent.db
.build.info
.curseclient (probably not needed)
.patch.result
.product.db
So you show hidden files and just copy them over. I did nothing else and it worked immediately. It was happy to take my new folder.
After I copied the 5 files, I went to the Battle.net client and pressed the little arrow in the upper left
--> Settings --> Game Install/Update -> Folder used for game play -> World of Warcraft -> Use a Different Folder
Done.

Escape From Tarkov Game Download
So, I too have hit this problem. It appeared after a BSOD. I'm currently trying to 'INSTALL' but it's showing that it's downloading the whole game over again which I have to wonder about since it's going to the same folder. Clearing the cache did nothing. And the game could not be launched from WoW - it had to be opened view the Battle.net launcher.
Anyone had MY particular problem?
